There have been several tests done about the impact of radio frequency radiation (RFR) on animals, and the results have raised a lot of red flags.
According to a study done by the US National Toxicology Program, male rats who were exposed to RFR for nine hours a day for two years got rare types of tumors in their brains and hearts, and both sexes got DNA damage. The researchers said that the increased risk for the rats was not too big, but if the results were applied to people, the widespread rise in cellphone use could have a big effect on the human population.
Other studies on animals show that microwave radiation in general and MMWs in particular can damage the eyes, immune cells, cell growth rate, and even the ability of bacteria to fight back. An experiment at the Medical Research Institute of Kanazawa Medical University showed that 60GHz millimeter-wave antennas cause thermal injuries in rabbit eyes that seem to go below the surface. The study showed that low levels of MMWs caused lens opacity, which can lead to cataracts.
A study done in China showed that eight hours of microwave radiation damaged the rabbits’ lens epithelial cells.
A Pakistani study found that chicken embryo retinal cells did not develop properly when they were exposed to EMF from mobile phones.
The Russian study showed that when healthy mice were exposed to low-intensity, very high-frequency electromagnetic radiation, their immune systems became very weak.
And an Armenian study from 2016 showed that low-intensity MMWs slowed the growth of E. coli and even changed cell properties and activity. In the same study, it was reported that the MMW interaction with bacteria could lead to antibiotic resistance. This is scary on its own, especially since the overuse of antibiotics has already weakened the immune system in general.
Taking all of this into account, 5G technology can have a big effect not only on human health but also on the health of all living organisms, including plants.
The effects of MMWs on plant life are equally worrisome.
In 2010, a study found that the leaves of aspen seedlings that were exposed to RFR showed signs of necrosis. In the same year, an Armenian study found that low-intensity MMWs cause "peroxidase isoenzyme spectrum changes," which is basically a stress response that damages the cells of wheat shoots.
Several reports from the last 20 years say that 5G could pose a threat to natural ecosystems. Birds and bees are affected by low-level, non-ionizing microwave radiation. It makes birds leave their nests, affects their feathers and locomotion systems, makes them less likely to survive, and sometimes even kills them.
The bee population is hurt in a way that queen bees lose their egg-laying abilities. It also affects the size of the bee colony.

Even though there have been a lot of warnings, companies are still pushing the 5G technology further and not talking about how dangerous it is.
